Would you like to…
  • ace your upper-division Mathematics classes?
  • get paid for studying Mathematics?
The PUMP program offers you a $2,000 stipend for a four-week program and provides free on-campus housing.

This workshop is a seven-day-a-week program that immerses students in mathematics. Participants prepare for a successful career in mathematics and, in particular, for succeeding in the upper division mathematics courses. In addition to the summer session, PUMP supports conference and opens opportunities for research collaborations with travel to present research. It includes other open-ended mentoring activities, such as orientation for paid summer research and Graduate School applications.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be majors in mathematics who have passed lower-division courses required as part of the major (e.g., Calculus, Linear Algebra, etc.) before July 6, 2015. Preference will be given to students who expect to graduate during the 2016-17 academic year.
